INTRODUCTION

A series of tests were carried out on coated glass panels to assess the quality of the coating.
The panels were coated one side only with a 65% gloss. Air Dry System Colours submitted were Red, Black, White and Yellow, as representative, and where elevated temperatures were used in the test programme, toughened glass was provided.

CONCLUSION

The results obtained by a comprehensive schedule of short-term tests on the 4 colours submitted, demonstrate that the coating is superior to most factory-applies coatings, used in architectural applications. Such coatings normally are provided with the added benefits of stoving sophisticated pretreatments and primers, to ensure optimum adhesion and durability.
Further, in all of the 11 tests carried out, no instance of deterioration of the coating was recorded. All 4 colours performed equally.
